Allie + Joe's intimate wedding at the Belle Isle Boathouse

GETTING READY

Allie + Joe spent the morning getting ready at the Siren Hotel in downtown Detroit, surrounded by friends and family. So many of the details throughout their day were handmade, handgrown, or a bit of both. All the flowers for the bouquets were grown in their garden at home in Detroit.

The ceremony was held on the front lawn of the Belle Isle Boathouse.

RECEPTION

This was the most magical backyard reception. I was blown away by all of the intentional details throughout the night. Allie made their cake, which was one of the best I’ve had, and the candles scattered around the yard. You can buy some of Allie’s beeswax candles here.

The love was tangible all around. The best kind of night.
